URGENT FEED APPEAL
Please help us to ensure that we have enough feed and bedding for our animals. Animal feed costs have already increased dramatically over the past 3 years. This year they are likely to increase even further because of the poor harvest, general inflationary trends and the increased production of bio-fuels. We can have around 300 animals to feed that include, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, parrots, cats and dogs. Our ethos is to re-home as many as possible but our feed costs amounted to £1800 per week last year and costs are going to rise this coming year. The increased cost of diesel and electricity has also put a serious strain on our budget. We are dependent on community generosity in order to continue our work to help care for our animals. Every single penny counts and we really make it go such a long way. We’re always so grateful (and relieved) to receive any donation whether regular or one off.
